“We created Achalay because the Paraná Delta is a vital natural habitat upon which the welfare of Buenos Aires depends.
Our wetlands help to provide clean drinking water and clean air; they protect against flood dangers; and they offer a habitat for a diverse array of flora and fauna – including many endangered species.
Achalay is a three-decade labour of love, born of a simple, transparent and altruistic objective: to protect the environment within which Buenos Aires will thrive and grow.
Reserva Achalay now exists. It already benefits greater Buenos Aries, but it can do more. Now is the time to ensure its long-term sustainability.”
